An AI chat assistant for small businesses
NanoPorter is a subscription AI chat assistant for small businesses. It answers customer questions on the client's own website, captures enquiries, and hands over to a person.
Your website gets asked the same questions every day: opening times, prices, availability, directions, what to bring. The assistant answers them at any hour, using your own business information, so a visitor gets what they came for instead of leaving to look elsewhere. When someone wants to book or needs a conversation, it takes their details and passes them to you, and anything it should not answer goes straight to a person.
It is a managed service: we set the assistant up, keep it maintained, and report on what your customers actually ask. Your staff keep doing what they do best, with fewer interruptions for the routine questions.
Pricing
Plans start from £119 per month, plus VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20%). The plan that fits most established businesses is £199 per month, plus VAT. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP).
The final price depends on the size of the business and what the assistant needs to handle, and is confirmed in a written quote before anything is signed. There is a one-off setup fee, from £349, also quoted in advance.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance by Direct Debit. This website does not collect payment details: Direct Debit mandates are set up through our payment provider, Stripe, which collects and handles bank details securely, and NanoPorter does not store them.
When the service starts
Setup begins once the agreement is signed. The assistant goes live on your website once your business content is in place: we aim for that to be within two weeks.

Cancellation and refunds
Either party may end the agreement at any time on 30 days' written notice. Notice from a client should be sent to admin@nanoporter.co.uk.
Charges paid in advance are not refunded where the client cancels for convenience.
Refunds are given in these cases:
- If PB Eng Ltd ends the agreement for convenience, or the client ends it for a cause the agreement allows immediate termination for (such as an unremedied material breach by PB Eng Ltd), charges paid in advance for complete unused months are refunded.
- If the assistant is unavailable for more than five continuous days in any one month, through no fault of the client, the client may end the agreement immediately by written notice, provided that notice is given within 30 days of the end of the month in which the unavailability occurred, and the charges paid for that month are refunded.
These terms summarise the signed Services Agreement, which is the governing document.
Billing disputes
If you believe an invoice is wrong, tell us in writing within 30 days of the invoice date at admin@nanoporter.co.uk, saying which amount you dispute and why. Both parties then use reasonable endeavours to resolve the dispute within 30 days of the notice. Interest is not charged on an amount disputed in good faith.
Privacy policy
This policy covers visitors to this website and NanoPorter's own clients and prospective clients. Conversations with a NanoPorter assistant on a client's website are covered by a separate privacy notice, shown in the chat window on that site.

This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no forms, and it loads nothing from third-party services. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes visitors' IP addresses in its infrastructure logs in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure. Those logs are held by Cloudflare for a limited period under its own log retention and are then deleted; we do not use them to identify anyone.
What we collect, and why
- When you email us: your name, contact details and correspondence. We use these to reply and to follow up. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.
- When you become a client: business contact details, the agreement, and billing and payment records. We use these to provide and bill the service. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligation for accounting records.
Who receives it
The providers that host our systems and email (currently Cloudflare and Google Workspace), our payment and Direct Debit processors, and our accountants, each only to the extent needed to do their job. We do not sell personal data or share it for marketing.
Where it is processed
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is safeguarded by UK adequacy regulations or by the appropriate contractual safeguards (the International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent clauses).
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up. Client records are kept for the length of the relationship, and accounting records for six years after the financial year they relate to, as tax law requires.
Your rights
Depending on the lawful basis that applies, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email admin@nanoporter.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
